There is a great event coming to Washington in July that I would love you to add to your calendar. It’s called America’s Family Pet Expo and it will be held at Puyallup Fair & Events Center in Puyallup, Washington. Here are the details:
1st Annual America’s Family Pet Expo
Fri., Sat. & Sun., July 8, 9 and 10, 2011
Puyallup Fair & Events Center,
110 9th Ave. SW
Puyallup, WA 98371
http://www.PetExpoWA.org
The world’s largest pet and pet product expo has animal performances, stage shows, shopping and the chance to interact with nearly 100 breeds of dogs, cats, birds, fish, llamas, reptiles, pigs, rats, mice, rabbits and exotic animals. There is also the chance to get up close to some of the animals and hold, learn about and adopt them.
Attendees can browse the aisles of the Pet Product Shopping Mart, where thousands of pet products from major pet manufacturers and local retailers will be on sale at special show prices. Additionally, a key fixture at America’s Family Pet Expo is the Pet Adoption Fair, where local adoption agencies and rescue organizations will have hundreds of pets available for adoption. Whether you’re looking to learn about different dog breeds, adopt a furry friend, ride a pony or get up close and personal with exotic animals, America’s Family Pet Expo promises to be a weekend of educational fun for the entire family.
This is great, Rachel! Thank you so much for the info! I’ll get it up right away.
No visitor pets are allowed. I called to ask about it. That is an event about pets with some pets there for educational and entertainment purposes, but it is not a pet event. It is largely a commercial event.
I was told if people come with their companion dogs, they will be asked to leave them somewhere and return without them. After a long drive to attend a “pet event”, who’s going to leave their pet in their car where they are likely to get heatsroke in July? What kind of responsible pet-loving organization would set up this scenario? I think it is terrible the way the promoters worked their magic promoting this as a pet event when no pets are allowed. That was very misleading!
Hi Shane,
Thank you for letting us know that no pets are allowed at this event. It is a bit misleading, but now (hopefully) people will know what to expect if they choose to attend.
Thanks again for your input!

no dogs allowed, very commercial

Love the Fun Runs! Will get it up right away! 😉 TY!
Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in
Chrome. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you
know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon.
Thanks
Hmm… ok, I passed it onto my tech guy. Thanks for the heads up! Very much appreciated! ~ Danielle
